Of the villages of Door County, including Egg Harbor and Ephraim, Sister Bay is the most populous. This can be attributed to Sister's Bay natural environment and large community, which attract many tourists year-round. The waters of the bordering Green Bay and adjacent Lake Michigan provide many different opportunities for exploration, from guided kayak adventures to sightseeing dinner tours. No matter what time of the year it is, visitors are always invited to participate in community events. At the end of November, the Capture the Spirit Festival rallies the Christmas spirit with live carol performances, trolly rides and even an appearance by Santa. Alternatively, a community bonfire and children's parade are featured at the Blossom Festival, celebrating the arrival of spring in May. After this event, visitors can take part in seasonal cherry picking at Hill Orchard.
